Head & Neck

Neck pain is a common condition characterised by discomfort, stiffness, or soreness in the cervical spine region, which includes the seven vertebrae in the neck and the surrounding muscles, ligaments, and soft tissues. Neck pain can range from mild and temporary discomfort to severe and chronic pain that affects daily activities.

Whiplash is a neck injury commonly caused by a sudden jerking motion of the head, typically occurring in rear-end car accidents but also in sports injuries, and falls. The abrupt movement can strain or damage the soft tissues in the neck, including muscles, ligaments, tendons, and discs.

Thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS) is a group of disorders characterised by compression or irritation of the nerves, blood vessels, or both, as they pass through the thoracic outlet—the narrow space between the collarbone (clavicle) and the first rib. This compression can lead to various symptoms, including pain, numbness, tingling, and weakness in the upper extremities.
